NCR-Powered Mobile Credit Union Apps Dominate Study

Duluth, Ga based  NCR Corporation announced that eight of the top 10 mobile banking apps, according to MagnifyMoney’s third-annual Mobile Banking App Study, are powered by NCR’s Digital Banking solutions portfolio

The study named the $3.5 billion Kingsport, Tenn. Based Eastman Credit Union, ($3. 5 billion), which serves over 155,000 members at over 20 branches in Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and Texas, as the Best Overall App. NCR said worked closely with ECU to build and deploy its mobile app to provide a better customer experience.

Of the apps honored, NCR also powers: ESL Credit Union ($5.9 billion, Rochester, N.Y.), Redstone Federal Credit Union ($4.4 billion, Huntsville, Ala.), SEFCU ($3.3 billion, Albany, N.Y.), Wright-Patt Credit Union ($3.3 billion, Beavercreek, Ohio), Hudson Valley FCU ($4.5 billion, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), Tower Federal Credit Union ($2.9 billion, Laurel, Md.), and Delta Community CU ($5.2 billion, Atlanta).

The data, collected from iTunes and Google Play the week of November 30, 2016, was used to create a composite 1 to 5 rating, factoring a weighted average of the ratings from both the iOS and Android platforms from over 100 of the biggest banks and credit unions, including the 50 largest banks and 50 largest credit unions along with a selection of top online direct banks.
