Police said Kempson allegedly went to the website of the $3.3 billion Members 1st Federal Credit Union in Mechanicsburg, Pa. and copied the cooperative’s logo. She then allegedly pasted the logo on a fake $1.2 million cashier’s check.

The police did not say whether the two transactions were related.

The property where Kempson lives on Cabin Hollow Road is scheduled for a sheriff’s sale, according to the York County Sheriff sale listing. The property’s value is approximately $352,000. The mortgage is held by U.S. Bank, according to county records.

The police report did not say whether Kempson is a member or an employee of Members 1st FCU. A CU Times phone message seeking comment from the credit union was not returned by a 1:30 p.m. deadline on Tuesday.
