The board of directors for the $51.2 million TNConnect Credit Union in Knoxville, Tenn., announced Tuesday that its president/CEO, Linda Childs (pictured at left), will retire Aug. 31.

Her successor will be Martin Bradley (pictured below), the credit union’s EVP.

Childs’ credit union career spans four decades. She joined TNConnect as its president/CEO in February 1988. Under her leadership, the credit union steadily grew its assets, loans and membership.

Though Childs said she will miss the pace of life as a credit union CEO and the wonderful relationships that have been built over the course of a long career, she looks forward to spending more time with her husband, daughter and five grandchildren.

Bradley, who joined TNConnect in June 1988, will become the credit union’s new president/CEO on Sept. 1, the board said.

Chartered in 1924, TNConnect serves more than 6,500 members.
