Latham, N.Y.-based $540 million Sunmark Federal Credit Union announced its selection of a 2017 CIO 100 award, which recognizes the creation of business value through the effective and innovative IT use.

Each year, CIO identifies and honors 100 organizations worldwide that have distinguished themselves. Sunmark is the only credit union in 2017 to receive this honor.

Sunmark’s received its nomination because of new hardware and software technology developed in support of their omnichannel strategy to deliver Sunmark’s suite of financial services across all delivery channels.

The credit union developed an interactive teller machine solution that provides full service banking transactions for Sunmark members, as well as ATM transactions for non-members, in a fully integrated self-service kiosk platform. Sunmark provides help and support for members using the new technology in person at the branch and through remote video tellers centralized at their Member Solution Center in Latham, just outside of Albany, N.Y.

The interactive teller machine solution is currently available to Sunmark members at the credit union’s Rotterdam, N.Y. location with plans to expand the technology to new and existing branches in New York’s Capital Region.
