As the Southeast prepares for Hurricane Irma, St. Petersburg, Fla.-based PSCU relayed its disaster preparedness and what the CUSO is doing to support its Member-Owners in light of the impending storm.

  • PSCU has proactively reached out to all its member-owners in the path of the storm to offer assistance. It continues to provide ongoing updates to inform owners of the organizations’ preparations and business continuity operations.
  • PSCU operates dual, active and redundant data centers in both St. Petersburg, Fla., and Phoenix. It conducts routine tests conducted during which time it puts full transaction load on a single data center, with the most recent test successfully completed last month.
  • Given the potential impact of Hurricane Irma to Florida, the majority of activity is now being managed from Phoenix.
  • Essential operational and technical staff members are positioned in Phoenix managing operations and support, and call center representatives in both Arizona and Michigan.
